I don’t know about you, but both 2020 and 2021 brought their fair share of challenges and obstacles. I appreciate and embrace the opportunity for growth – but I also love a new year and a clean slate!

While we obviously can (and should) set new goals any time of the year, the new year offers an opportunity to re-focus on self-growth, healthy choices, and happiness.

Here are ten simple goals that you can set (and achieve) to make 2022 your best year!

✨ Wake up earlier. The early morning can provide precious quiet for contemplation and “me time”.

✨ Make time for your creative side with arts, crafts, writing, journaling, or drawing.

✨ Be compassionate. Studies show that compassionate people handle life’s stressors better.

✨ Don’t run yourself ragged. Pay attention to your body’s cues and slow down when you need to.

✨ Cut out unnecessary expenses. Most adult stress is related to finances. Find small expenses to cut from your day-to-day life… little changes add up!

✨ Share your expertise with others. Sharing knowledge with those around you can increase your feelings of usefulness and helping others can increase your personal happiness.

✨ Appreciate your strengths. Don’t compare your work or skills to others – appreciate what you do well.

✨ Practice gratitude. An attitude of gratitude is proven to directly impact your overall wellness. Take the time to think about things that you are thankful for – and express gratitude to others!

✨ Develop a routine for exercise.

✨ Learn something new. Learning a new task or skill increases personal growth and feelings of accomplishment.
